Briar Cheatham charges to 14th in Battle at the Beach finale

Briar Cheatham took his D&H Sand Inc. No. 87 Crate Late Model into battle with the Crate Racin’ Winter Shootout Series on Friday at Southern Raceway (Milton, Fla.) for the two-day Battle at the Beach.

Pinned on the 11th row for Saturday’s $10,000-to-win A-Main via a seventh-place finish in his heat race on Friday, Cheatham advanced forward seven spots in the 50-lap affair to register a 14th-place finish.
