Cheatham Racing begins 2024 season at All-Tech Raceway

The 2024 season kicked off for Ponce de Leon, Florida’s, Briar Cheatham over the weekend with a trip to All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) for the two-day Winter Nationals.

Aboard his Cheatham Racing No. 87 604 Crate Late Model, Briar was a scratch from Friday’s program but was able to gain speed in Saturday’s consolation race.

Needing to finish fourth or better in his B-Main on Saturday to qualify for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Cheatham fell short of a transfer spot but was able to climb four positions in the 10-lapper to place ninth.
